It's Friday! Therefore we have chosen to open the Dom Pérignon 2004 by Jeff Koons Edition.
In february 2013 Dom Pérignon introduced a new “creator”: Jeff Koons. This American visual artist, born in 1955 and currently living in New York, made his debut when he was young, since then, created many designs. This is where the beautiful yellow design comes from.
The 2004 Dom Pérignon is from a classic vintage and a very generous year in terms of yields. White-golden in color, the clear, discrete and subtle nose gives way to dried white fruits rather than yellow fruits, raisins and hazelnuts, as well as to floral and herbal aromas. Less generous and concentrated in the mouth than the 2005 and austerely dry at the moment, the 2004 shows its great finesse and characteristic minerality.
We have bought several buckets of crunched ice. With 'just' 39 degrees in France, we have enjoyed ourselves and this beautiful bottle.
