Chateau Margaux 1967.
Last week we bought some cases of Chateau Margaux. The cases were stored perfectly, so we were very exited to try one of the bottles.
So, we opened the Margaux 1967. The level was top shoulder and the colour was light red.
After approx 8 minutes in the glass, it just opened up beautifully, with typical old Bordeaux aromas. The palate was mid weight at most, with such wonderfully resolved tannins giving it a silky structure. Remarkably, still some freshness was left and hints of black fruits amongst the leathery, cedar and dusty flavors.
A great old bottle of the 60!
