The highly innovative and thus controversial Angelo Gaja, Italy’s most famous wine maker, produces the most refined and delicate examples of the Nebbiolo grape from his Costa Russi Vineyard. Blackberries and violets, elegant and lavish, the wines are made in French oak casks from the Allier forest to match this finesse."
