Returning to Japan, the father of Japanese whisky founded Japan's first malt distillery and carefully created a whisky with the very finest fragrance, body and taste.
This is a blended malt named in honor of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. He is the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland and brought this expertise back to Japan. Pursuing his own ideal whisky, Masataka established Nikka in 1934.
This award-winning bottling has complex malty flavor with Sherry casks influence generated by NIkka's artistic blending inherited by the founder."
