Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 – Claude Monet Collection 50.5% (full set of 6 bottles)
The Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 – Claude Monet Collection is an extraordinary limited-edition Japanese Single Malt Whisky collection, bringing together the exceptional craftsmanship of Chichibu Distillery and the timeless artistic legacy of French Impressionist Claude Monet.
Released in 2026 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Claude Monet's passing, this remarkable collection consists of six individually numbered bottles, each featuring a different painting by the legendary French artist. Together, they form a beautiful tribute to the historical relationship between Japanese culture and French Impressionism.
Only 2,484 bottles were produced worldwide, divided equally across six distinctive designs, with just 414 bottles featuring each artwork. A complete collection therefore represents one of a maximum of 414 possible six-bottle sets.
Where Japanese whisky meets French impressionism
The inspiration behind this exceptional release lies in Claude Monet's lifelong fascination with Japanese art and culture.
Monet was an enthusiastic collector of Japanese woodblock prints, which profoundly influenced his artistic vision. His celebrated garden in Giverny featured a Japanese-inspired wooden bridge, surrounded by water lilies and lush vegetation. These elements became the subjects of some of his most recognisable paintings.
The Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 celebrates this extraordinary connection through six different labels, each displaying a painting inspired by Monet's famous Japanese Bridge and Water Lilies series.
Although all six bottles contain exactly the same exceptional Japanese single malt whisky, each features a different artwork, transforming the complete collection into a beautiful display of Japanese craftsmanship and French artistic heritage.
Chichibu Distillery – A modern icon of Japanese whisky
Founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, Chichibu Distillery has established an exceptional reputation among whisky enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
Despite being one of Japan's younger whisky distilleries, Chichibu has become renowned for its traditional production methods, meticulous attention to detail and remarkably expressive single malt whiskies.
The distillery is particularly celebrated for its small-scale production, traditional copper pot stills and distinctive fermentation vessels made from Japanese Mizunara oak. Combined with carefully selected maturation casks and the region's considerable seasonal temperature variations, these elements contribute to the individuality and complexity of Chichibu's whiskies.
Under the guidance of Ichiro Akuto, Chichibu has become one of the most respected names in contemporary Japanese whisky, with its limited releases attracting considerable interest from collectors around the world.
A remarkable marriage of four cask styles
The Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 is created from a carefully selected marriage of 14 casks, containing whiskies aged between six and twelve years.
The maturation combines first-fill and second-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry hogsheads and new American white oak casks.
This carefully balanced combination creates an exceptionally expressive Japanese single malt, revealing vibrant citrus fruits, orchard fruits, delicate spices and beautifully integrated oak influences.
Bottled at 50.5% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring, this limited edition preserves the whisky's natural character and remarkable aromatic complexity.
Six works of art. One exceptional Japanese whisky.
What makes the Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 – Collection Monet particularly special is the opportunity to own all six artistic interpretations together.
Each bottle celebrates a different masterpiece by Claude Monet, capturing his fascination with Japanese-inspired landscapes, water lilies and the changing beauty of natural light.
The collection includes six distinctive labels, each individually numbered and limited to just 414 bottles.
For admirers of fine art, this collection offers a fascinating connection to one of the most influential painters in history. For whisky enthusiasts, it represents an opportunity to discover the remarkable craftsmanship of one of Japan's most celebrated modern distilleries.
A beautiful meeting of Japanese whisky-making, French Impressionism and artistic heritage, the Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 – Claude Monet Collection is a remarkable addition to any distinguished whisky collection.
