Glenfiddich 26 Years Old - Grande Couronne

The Glenfiddich 26 Years Old – Grande Couronne is a masterful celebration of time, craftsmanship and French elegance. As part of Glenfiddich’s prestigious Grande Series, this exceptional single malt showcases the distillery’s ability to elevate traditional Scotch whisky through bold and imaginative maturation.

After spending over two decades maturing in American and European oak casks, this whisky is finished for an extended period in rare French Cognac casks. This final maturation brings an opulent layer of refinement, lending the whisky its name — Grande Couronne, meaning Great Crown. The result is a rich and indulgent single malt, offering beautifully balanced notes of toasted oak, soft spice, candied fruits, sweet pastry and delicate hints of roasted coffee and vanilla, all wrapped in a long, luxurious finish.
At the heart of this whisky lies the spirit of Glenfiddich Distillery, founded in 1887 by William Grant and still proudly family-owned today. Nestled in the heart of Speyside, Glenfiddich is renowned for its pioneering approach to single malt whisky — from being the first distillery to market single malt globally, to continually pushing boundaries in cask innovation and maturation. Its commitment to tradition, combined with an unwavering drive for innovation, has made Glenfiddich the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky.

The Grande Series represents Glenfiddich at its most experimental and expressive, designed to explore the influence of exceptional casks and global inspirations. Alongside the Grande Couronne, the series includes acclaimed releases such as the Glenfiddich 21 Years Old Gran Reserva, finished in Caribbean rum casks, and the Glenfiddich 23 Years Old Grand Cru, matured in French wine casks from Champagne. Each expression tells a distinct story, united by depth, elegance and an unmistakable sense of luxury.

The Glenfiddich 26 Years Old Grande Couronne stands as a crowning achievement within this series — a whisky of remarkable poise and complexity, created for discerning collectors and connoisseurs who appreciate both heritage and innovation in equal measure.
