Matured for fifteen years in ex-American oak casks, this exceptional release combines Laphroaig's unmistakable peat smoke with remarkable elegance, balance and depth. Bright citrus notes of orange zest and grapefruit lead the nose, followed by subtle vanilla, dried hay and gentle spice. On the palate, signature Islay smoke intertwines with sea salt, cracked black pepper and warming oak, before giving way to a long, refined and satisfyingly smoky finish.
The additional years of maturation have softened the distillery's famous smoky character without compromising its identity, resulting in a whisky that is both unmistakably Laphroaig and exceptionally refined.
