Royal Salute 53 Years Old Time Chamber by Conrad Shawcross
The Royal Salute 53 Years Old Time Chamber by Conrad Shawcross is far more than an exceptional Scotch whisky. It is the perfect fusion of masterful whisky-making, contemporary art and British craftsmanship, created for the world's most discerning collectors.
Released as part of Royal Salute's prestigious Art of Wonder Collection, this extraordinary expression celebrates the remarkable relationship between whisky and time. Every component within the blend has matured for a minimum of 53 years, paying tribute to 1953, the year Royal Salute was first created in honour of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Only 21 Sculptures Worldwide
With an astonishing worldwide release of just 21 individually numbered sculptures, the Time Chamber stands among the rarest Royal Salute creations ever produced.
Each decanter is housed within a spectacular kinetic-inspired sculpture designed by internationally acclaimed British artist Conrad Shawcross RA. Renowned for exploring mathematics, science and the fourth dimension of time through sculpture, Shawcross created an artwork that symbolises the invisible journey every whisky undertakes during decades of maturation.
Rather than displaying the whisky in a traditional presentation, the crystal decanter is suspended within an elegant optical glass sculpture, supported by handcrafted oak. As light passes through the structure, reflections constantly evolve, making every viewing experience unique.
A Masterpiece Created by Sandy Hyslop
Royal Salute Master Blender Sandy Hyslop selected some of the oldest and rarest whiskies from the exceptional reserves held by Chivas Brothers.
Matured in a combination of carefully selected American and European oak casks for more than half a century, the whisky delivers extraordinary depth and elegance.
Expect beautifully layered aromas of ripe orchard fruits, citrus peel, white chocolate and delicate maple sweetness, followed by rich notes of toffee, shortbread, red apples, apricot preserve and gentle spice. The finish is remarkably long, refined and wonderfully balanced.
Bottled at 41.5% ABV, the whisky delivers remarkable elegance, exceptional balance and extraordinary complexity, allowing its five decades of maturation to shine through beautifully.
Crafted at the Historic Strathisla Distillery
Royal Salute is produced at the legendary Strathisla Distillery, founded in 1786 in the heart of Speyside. As the oldest continually operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands, Strathisla has become synonymous with exceptional quality and timeless craftsmanship, serving as the spiritual home of both Royal Salute and Chivas Regal.
A True Collector's Piece
The Royal Salute 53 Years Old Time Chamber is not simply a rare whisky—it is a museum-quality work of art. Combining over five decades of maturation with one of the world's most exclusive contemporary sculptures, this remarkable release represents the pinnacle of luxury Scotch whisky collecting.
For collectors seeking the ultimate expression of rarity, craftsmanship and investment potential, opportunities become exceptionally scarce when only 21 examples exist worldwide.
