More than seventeen years ago, new make Balvenie spirit was filled into Oloroso sherry casks and laid down to mature in Warehouse 21 at the Balvenie Distillery.

The Balvenie Malt Master has specially selected a number of these first fill sherry casks to create a Rare Expression of The Balvenie and the result is a rich and intense single malt, characterised by mixed spice and sweet, sherried fruitiness."
